Buck Horns

These are the buck antlers that Nick found in their yard. Terry gave them to a
friend of his who is going to do something with them (coat rack maybe?)

-they look like little pros! Its quite an expensive sport with all of that gear though- thank goodness for used equipment stores.

In the ready position! The action shots keep
coming out blurry. I'll have to keep working on that. Anyway, he is working on all of the basic skating techniques - step and glide, pushing off and doing one foot glides, snowplow stops, turns and swizzels. He is doing really well, but gets a little frustrated by the slow pace of learning. He thinks he's ready for the NHL!

Planes, trains and more planes

Colin really loved seeing all of the airplanes

and trains at the museum. Terry and I were looking forward to taking him on the coal mine ride, but unfortunately it was closed the day we went. Oh well, guess we'll just have to go again. We have at least 6 more weeks of winter for indoor activities anyway!
